I've been seeing different Defender models pop up online and some people saying it's discontinued. Just wanted to clear things up — is the Land Rover Defender still in production in 2025? Or are we only dealing with used ones now?

Yes bro, the Land Rover Defender is definitely still in production as of 2025 🙌🏽

After the original Defender (pre-2016 models like the 90, 110, 130) was discontinued, Land Rover launched the new-generation Defender lineup starting in 2020. This includes the Defender 90, 110, and 130 with modern designs, tech, and better comfort — but still keeping some of that rugged DNA.
Land Rover has been updating the lineup every year, and in 2025, they're still pushing out new models worldwide — especially popular in UK, Europe, US, and even Middle East.

But in Sri Lanka, due to the import bans earlier (2020–Feb 2025), most of what we see are used or reconditioned ones. Now that the import ban is lifted (since Feb 2025), we might start seeing more new-gen Defenders arriving later this year, if dealers bring them in.
