Title: Clutch Pedal Hard & Squeaky – Fix at Home?
Post by: Sinith001 on Jul 17, 2025, 05:55 PM
My clutch pedal is stiff and makes a 'keek' sound when pressed. Can I fix it myself, or is this a master/slave cylinder issue?

First try greasing the pedal pivot inside the cabin. Just remove the side panel and spray WD-40 or grease. That fixed mine last year. If it's still stiff, check for fluid leaks around the clutch master—mine leaked into the footwell once.

If it's not smooth after that, might be the slave cylinder jammed. Happened to me near Nawalapitiya. Bought a Britpart kit from Lal's in Panchikawatte and swapped it myself. Just need 2 spanners and a friend to help bleed.
