  • Monthly Maintenance Checklist – What Do You Actually Follow?

Be honest, machan. How many of us actually follow a routine maintenance schedule?

I try to do:

  • Oil change every 5,000km
  • Grease prop shaft every 2 months
  • Top up coolant + check brake fluid monthly
  • Air filter clean if dusty trail was involved

Still, things go wrong when least expected.

Do you have your own checklist? Or do you just wait for the rattle?

Mine is simple: If I hear a new sound, I open the bonnet. If I smell something funny, I pray.

But seriously – I now use a Google sheet and mark service dates. Helps me avoid surprise repairs and saves money long-term.

Mcn, if it's a small leak, you can try Sika 221 or 227 from the outside as a temporary fix just clean the area well and apply it along the top edge. But if the rubber is too old or hardened, best to remove the windscreen and refit with new seal proper sealant. Patch works short-term, but long-term solution is a reseal.
