  • Landy Troubles During Rainy Season – Anyone Else Struggling?

Aiyo guys,
This rain season is testing my love for the Defender. My footwell is wet every morning. Sometimes the floor even smells like wet socks. Water gets in from somewhere near the door seals and the windshield. I tried adding rubber trim, but still it sneaks in.

Even the wipers struggle – they move like they're tired after climbing Adam's Peak.

Anyone here faced the same issues? How do you keep your Defender dry and sane during the monsoon? I don't want to give up – but my socks can't take it anymore.

Haha machan I feel you! My Defender turns into a mini swimming pool every October. Here's what I did:

  • Went to a rubber shop in Panchikawatte and custom-fit thicker door seals.
  • Applied clear silicone around the windshield frame (from inside and outside).
  • Added drain holes in the floor with small rubber grommets – water goes out automatically now!

Also changed my wiper motor to a new one from Green Oval. Bit expensive but totally worth it. Trust me, once you do this, the rain won't defeat you again.
