Guys, planning to build a project Defender. What years/models should I be targeting? 🤔

If you're going classic, most guys recommend the 1995-1997 300TDi models. Super reliable, easy to work on, and parts are still around.
TD5 (1999-2006) is also a great mix of power and comfort, but has more electronics.

Puma (2007+) is more modern but needs more care. Depending on your budget and purpose 300TDi is ideal for rugged use, TD5 for versatility, and Puma if you want A/C and more road comfort.
