Ado mcn,

I'm having a small issue with my Defender 90 when I'm coming downhill and apply brakes, the steering wheel shakes side to side a bit. Feels like a vibration only when braking, especially at higher speeds.

I just changed the front brake pads last month, so not sure if it's related to that. 🤔

Ado bro,

Seems like you might be dealing with a bit of a brake disc issue – maybe they're warped. 😬 When the discs get uneven, it can cause that shake when you brake, especially at higher speeds. Even if you just changed the pads, the rotors might still be a bit out of shape.

Check the discs for any grooves or uneven wear. If they're warped, you'll probably need to get them machined or replaced. It could also be that the brake pads weren't properly bedded in when they were changed. If they were too rushed, it might lead to uneven contact with the discs.

Another thing to check is the suspension or steering components. Sometimes, it could be a loose or worn-out part in the system that's causing the vibrations, but I'd start with the brakes first.

Maybe get a mechanic to give it a proper look. If you're around Colombo, I know a good garage where they really know their stuff with Defenders.
