Title: Gearbox Slipping When Shifting - What’s the Fix?
Post by: Ashwin_Ravindu on Jul 11, 2025, 09:58 PM
My 110's gearbox slips from 2nd to 3rd, especially when climbing with load. Anyone else faced this? What's the fix, and where can I get it sorted in Sri Lanka?

Yeah machang, that's classic LT77 wear. Syncro rings probably gone. Happened to me on the way to Poonagala. Took it to efitechnics (https://efitechnics.lk/), Kurunegala he rebuilt the box with UK parts. Cost me around 85k with labour. Now it shifts like butter.

Try changing your oil first. Use Castrol MTF 94, I buy from Auto Miraj (https://automiraj.lk/contact-us-pepiliyana-grand-1/) Pepiliyana. Sometimes dirty oil causes hard shifting. But if it's still jumping out of gear, better rebuild it before you end up stranded on a trail.
