Defender 100%. No disrespect to the Discovery – it's super comfy and good for long drives. But the Defender has character. You can feel the heritage when you drive it. Whether it's the old-school 90s version or the new ones, it's raw, real, and built to take a beating.
If you're into off-roading, beach runs, or even just flexing that military-inspired look – Defender wins.

But curious to hear what others think. Anyone here still rocking a Series III or into the new Velar style?

Everyone's got a preference. Some swear by the Defender, others love the Discovery for its comfort. Which Land Rover series do you prefer – and why?  🤔

Bro, the Defender 110 stands out for one solid reason – it's built like a tank but rides with comfort. You're getting serious off-road DNA with modern-day features.
Key points:
Long wheelbase = more interior room

Legendary off-road ability

Iconic boxy shape that never goes out of style

Super modifiable (roof racks, snorkels, winches – all day!)

Still has that rugged soul even in the latest models

It's not just an SUV. It's a lifestyle statement. If you see a Defender 110, chances are it's not stock – people build them for real adventures.

Yeah machan, I saw the 2026 update too – looks good!  8)

The front bumper and grille changes are small, but give it a fresh look.

That new Captain Seat option in the 130 – perfect for long drives to places like Nuwara Eliya or Haputale.

They've removed the X-Dynamic and brought in something called Dynamic HSE – more premium style.

11.4-inch screen is now standard – finally!

Diesel engines got small power boosts, but nothing big.

For Sri Lanka, we'll probably see a delay as usual. Might take time unless someone imports early.

🔎 Should you wait?
If you want the latest features and don't mind waiting – 2026 looks worth it.
But if you find a clean 2023/24 model now, grab it – prices might go higher soon.

Anyone planning to import one? Or waiting for it to hit UK/Japan auctions?

The Defender 110 always seems to turn heads, but I wanted to hear from actual owners or fans – what truly makes it stand out from the crowd? Design, capability, legacy?

Another option is Dineth Freight Movers based in Katunayake. They cleared my 90 soft top last year. Even helped with the emission test. Just avoid brokers who promise "no duty" loopholes—pure bluff.

My cousin uses an Autel MD802, works okay but limited on live data. If you want to remap later, get something that supports ECU programming. And never trust Daraz clones—they don't read half the codes.

Use Santhusha Clearing, Orugodawatte. I brought a 2010 Defender 110 through him. Smooth process, he knows how to handle RMV and customs. Total clearing took 4 weeks.

I use a Foxwell NT530 with Land Rover software. Works perfect for injector coding and clearing MIL lights. Bought it through Kapruka Global Shop, delivered in 10 days.

If you're coming from Matale side, go to Ruwan at Naula. I had charging issues and he even tested my battery and wiring. Good service, doesn't overcharge like city guys.
