Mine would definitely say: "You never check my coolant... but you love me when I climb Knuckles, no?" 😂

Alright machang, time to confess — what's the wildest thing you've ever hauled in your Defender?

I once transported a full-size fridge, 4 guys, 2 dogs, and a chicken cage from Matale to Horana. Suspension cried the whole way.

Who's carried something crazier?

Machanla, imagine if your Defender had a voice. What would it say after a long trail ride, or when you forget to fix that oil leak again?

Mine would say: "Aney, again with the potholes? I'm a Land Rover, not a rock crusher!"

Let's have some fun — what would your Defender say if it could speak?

2.5 NA is reliable but yeah, top end is sluggish. If you want better highway drive and  pulling power, 200TDI is a solid upgrade. It doesn't drop in perfectly though you'll need to modify engine mounts, adjust radiator/intercooler setup, and possibly change the gearbox crossmember. But it's been done plenty in SL. If your NA is healthy, keep it but if you're planning long trips or towing, 200TDI is worth it.

I'm split between a Defender and a Prado/Terrain. How does the Defender hold up against these other SUVs?  ::)

Looking to get a roof rack ladder setup for weekend trips and camping gear. Can anyone recommend shops or fabricators around Colombo or Gampaha that do good work? Preferably steel with black powder coat, nothing too flashy.

I've noticed the Defender 90 leans heavily during turns and feels very floaty on uneven roads. Is this a sign that the shock absorbers are shot? Or something to do with suspension bushes? Any recommended shock brands that can handle Sri Lankan roads?

Our Defender's battery clamp broke the whole battery slid when off-roading last week
Can anyone recommend a place in Panchikawatte or online in SL to get proper battery clamps or mounting kits that fit Defenders properly? Most of what I see is cheap, doesn't last.

Yeah machan, that kind of low speed vibration is often a worn U-joint or slightly bent driveshaft. Check for play in the prop shafts even a small wobble can cause that. Also look at rear axle bushes and tyre flat spots if it's been parked long. Start with U-joints  cheap and easy fix if that's the issue.

Mcn, try Autozone they usually have good quality aftermarket Defender door seals. Not OEM, but fits well and does the job in heavy rain.
