Hi machan, I'm using a 2012 Defender 110. These days I hear a tuk-tuk sound when going over bumps and feel a bit shaky when turning. Could it be a suspension bush or shock issue? Anyone else had this? What should I check first?
Hi machan,
That tuk-tuk sound and shaky feeling when turning usually means something's loose or worn in the suspension.
✅ Things to check first:
- Suspension bushes – Very common issue. If they're cracked or old, you'll hear noises.
- Shocks (dampers) – If they're leaking or loose, they'll cause shaking.
- Ball joints or steering ends – Can also make noise and affect turning.
👉 Ask someone to turn the steering while you look under the front; if something moves too much or makes noise, that's the spot.
If you're near Colombo or Kandy, I can suggest a good garage for Landys.
