Hey guys 👋
I've been thinking of getting a brand new Land Rover Defender – the modern ones that came after 2020. Does anyone know the best place to buy one in Sri Lanka? Dealer or import?

Also, is it better to go through a UK import or try to source locally? $:-\$

Machan, for a brand new Defender (like the 2020+ model), your first stop should be SML Frontier – that's the official Land Rover agent in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰. They usually bring down a few trims like the Defender 110 P300 or P400, and you can custom order too.

But keep in mind:

Price is high – due to taxes, expect 50 mil+ 😬

Some people import from the UK via private agents or brokers – it might be cheaper, but more risky and takes time 🕒

You can also keep an eye on Riyasewana or Facebook groups – some showrooms list "unregistered" units ready to register.

If you're okay with modern tech and don't mind the size, the new Defender is a beast 🔥 But some of us still prefer the old-school boxy ones
