Looking to build a strong roof rack for camping setup. Don't want too heavy. What's better aluminium or steel? Any good fabricators around Negombo

For camping setup, aluminium is better if you want strong but light won't stress the gutters like steel does. Steel is tougher for rough use, but much heavier. In Negombo, check out Lahiru Welding Works or Chanaka Fabrication. Also worth asking around local 4x4 groups few guys build racks on order.
